Our Commitment to Craftsmanship

At MOHSTEN, every piece is a modern heirloom, meticulously designed in our Remuera studio and crafted to the highest standards. We want you to feel as confident in your purchase as we are in our craftsmanship.

As per the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act, we stand behind the quality of our work. Please review our policies below regarding custom designs and our ready-to-wear collections.

Bespoke & Custom Commissions

Because bespoke jewellery, custom engagement rings, and wedding bands are made specifically for you (or utilize your own sentimental materials), these items are final sale.

We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges for change of mind on custom-crafted pieces.

To ensure your complete satisfaction, we provide a thorough consultation and design process, including detailed sketches and material selection, before crafting begins.

Ready-to-Wear Collections

For items from our Lustre, Iconic, or In-Stock collections:

We offer a 14-day exchange or store credit from the date of delivery.

Items must be in their original, unworn condition and accompanied by all original packaging and certificates.

Note: We do not offer cash refunds for change of mind.

Non-Returnable Items

Resized or Engraved Items: Any piece that has been altered from its original state at your request.

Gift Vouchers: These are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Manufacturing Warranty & Faults

Every MOHSTEN piece is covered by a 12-month manufacturing warranty.

If you believe your jewellery has a manufacturing defect, please contact our studio immediately to arrange an assessment.

If a fault is deemed to be manufacturing-related, we will repair, replace, or refund the item in accordance with the Consumer Guarantees Act.

Exclusions: Our warranty does not cover general wear and tear, accidental damage (such as a crushed band or a chipped stone from impact), loss of stones, or damage caused by third-party jewellers.

Resizing Policy

We want your ring to fit perfectly.

New Zealand Orders: Engagement rings and wedding bands include one complimentary resizing (within 2 US sizes) if requested within 90 days of receipt.

International Orders: Resizing is available; however, secure shipping and insurance costs are the responsibility of the client.

How to Make a Return or Exchange

  1. Contact Us: Email emquire@mohsten.co.nz with your order number and reason for the request.
  2. Assessment: For potential faults, we will invite you to our Remuera studio or provide instructions for secure, insured shipping to our workshop.
  3. Shipping: For change-of-mind exchanges, the cost of secure return shipping and insurance is the responsibility of the customer. MOHSTEN is not liable for items lost or damaged during return transit.
