MOHSTEN 'Something Borrowed' Rental Policy

Welcome to MOHSTEN. Our rental service is designed to give you a seamless, luxury experience for your wedding day. Because we handcraft and manage our own fine jewellery fleet, we operate under a strict trust-and-security framework.

• All rentals are strictly in-studio collection and return at our Auckland location. We do not courier rental assets.
• Jewellery must be collected during your pre-booked appointment time and returned within 48 hours of your hire period ending.

When you arrive at our studio to collect your jewellery, you must present:

1. A valid government-issued photo ID (NZ Driver’s Licence or Passport).
2. A matching physical proof of address.
3. A valid credit card in the hiring bride's name. We will place a temporary pre-authorisation security hold on this card via Stripe. This hold is fully released upon the safe return of the jewellery. Please note: Standard debit cards or cards without an available credit limit cannot be used for the security hold.

Every rental includes complimentary MOHSTEN Care Cover to protect you against standard wear and tear.

Significant structural damage or loss will be evaluated by our master workshop, and a partial repair or fixed studio excess fee may apply.

Unauthorised non-returns past 48 hours void all care cover. This will be treated as criminal theft, reported immediately to the NZ Police, and the card on file will be charged the full retail replacement value (RRP) of the jewellery.

Upon the safe, on-time return of your items, 100% of your paid hire fee is converted directly into MOHSTEN Store Credit to put toward your permanent fine jewellery collection. To keep this reward highly achievable and exciting for our brides, our store credit operates on a 1:3 reinvestment rule:

• The 3x Minimum Spend: The total purchase price of your chosen permanent fine jewellery piece must be at least three times (3x) the value of the store credit being redeemed.Example: A $300 rental credit requires a minimum spend of $900.
• Pooled Credit: If you rent multiple items for the same weekend (e.g., a necklace, bracelet, and earrings), your rental fees will be pooled into a single credit balance. The 3x minimum spend rule will apply to the total combined balance, making it a fantastic head-start for a major statement piece.Example: A pooled $900 rental credit requires a minimum spend of $2,700.
• Validity Period: In accordance with New Zealand consumer law, your MOHSTEN Store Credit will be securely logged under your customer profile and is valid for a period of three (3) years from the date of issue. Credit is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
